Tally and UAE e-invoicing

In short: Tally Software Solutions FZCO appeared on the UAE Ministry of Finance register of Accredited Service Providers on 27 October 2026, with accreditation number 162503, and Tally publishes a UAE e-invoicing module for TallyPrime. Most Tally users can comply inside Tally: move to a release that supports it, clean ledger and party data, appoint Tally in EmaraTax and test before go-live.

Tally is widely used by UAE trading and distribution businesses, and its vendor is an accredited provider. The practical work is usually in the data and the release, not the connection.

Your route

  1. Check your release and licence — confirm with Tally or your Tally partner which TallyPrime release and licence include UAE e-invoicing. Older Tally.ERP 9 installations need an upgrade decision.
  2. Clean party masters — TRNs, Peppol IDs, addresses and emirates for customers and suppliers.
  3. Check stock items and tax classifications so every line maps to the right tax category.
  4. Appoint the provider in EmaraTax before your ASP deadline.
  5. Test invoices, credit notes and a rejected invoice end to end.

Where Tally users get stuck

  • Multiple companies in one installation — each legal entity needs its own scope check and setup.
  • Customised invoice formats — the e-invoice is data, not your printed layout; custom fields may not map.
  • Remote or offline branches — e-invoices must flow through the provider, so connectivity matters.

Beyond compliance

Once Tally sends and receives structured invoices, matching purchase invoices to orders and chasing overdue receivables can be automated around it. See invoice automation.
