UAE e-invoicing by accounting and ERP system
In short: Your accounting or ERP system decides most of your UAE e-invoicing project. A few vendors are accredited service providers themselves — on 27 October 2026 the Ministry of Finance register included Zoho, Tally, SAP and Wafeq — so their users can often switch e-invoicing on and appoint the vendor. Everyone else connects their system to one of the 80 accredited providers, through a ready connector or an API.
The mandate is the same for everyone; the work is not. What decides your project is where your invoices are created today and how that system can hand structured PINT AE data to an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) — and take back the acceptances, rejections and status messages that follow.
Three routes, depending on your system
| Route | When it applies | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Vendor is the ASP | Your accounting software’s vendor is on the Ministry of Finance register | Check your plan includes e-invoicing, switch it on, appoint the vendor in EmaraTax, test |
| Connector to an ASP | An accredited provider maintains a connector for your system and version | Choose the provider, install and map, appoint in EmaraTax, test the rejection path |
| API integration | Larger or customised ERPs, or no maintained connector | Build mapping and the connection to a provider’s API, with monitoring and write-back |
You can confirm which vendors are on the register on our accredited ASP list.

What every system has to handle
- Your customers’ Peppol IDs — the UAE identifier your e-invoices are addressed to.
- Correct tax categories on every line, including zero-rated, exempt and reverse-charge.
- E-credit notes that reference the original invoice.
- Rejections written back to the source document, not left in a provider portal.
- Receiving e-invoices from your suppliers, not just sending your own.
