Zoho Books and UAE e-invoicing
In short: Zoho Software Trading LLC appeared on the UAE Ministry of Finance register of Accredited Service Providers on 27 October 2026, with accreditation number 121988. For most Zoho Books users that means e-invoicing can run inside the software they already use: confirm your plan covers it, appoint Zoho in EmaraTax and test an invoice and a credit note before your go-live date.
Zoho is one of the few accounting vendors that is itself an accredited provider, so a Zoho Books user has a short route to compliance. Short is not the same as automatic.
Your route
- Confirm your edition and plan include UAE e-invoicing, and what it costs per invoice or month.
- Clean your contacts — customer TRNs and Peppol IDs, correct country and emirate.
- Review tax settings on items and services so every line carries the right category.
- Appoint the provider in EmaraTax once you’ve signed up, before your ASP deadline.
- Test a standard invoice, a zero-rated line, a credit note and a deliberately broken invoice to see how rejections reach you.
When Zoho Books alone isn’t the answer
- Invoices are created somewhere else (a POS, an industry system, a CRM) and only summarised in Zoho.
- You run several entities on different systems and want one provider for all of them.
- You want approvals, matching or collections automated around the invoices — see invoice automation.
Questions to ask before you switch it on
Does e-invoicing cover receiving as well as sending?
Both run through your provider. Confirm supplier e-invoices arrive in Zoho Books in a form your team can approve and post.
What happens to invoices raised before go-live?
The mandate applies from your go-live date; earlier invoices follow the rules that applied when they were issued. Plan the cut-over date with your accountant.
